Our story
Avenue 360 began in 1998 as Houston Area Community Services (HACS), founded to care for people living with HIV/AIDS at a time when few would. That mission of meeting people where they are — with dignity and without judgment — still defines us today.
We later joined with Bering Omega and its Omega House hospice, deepening our roots in HIV/AIDS care and compassionate end-of-life support. Today, as a Federally Qualified Health Center, Avenue 360 has grown into a full health system serving the greater Houston region with primary, dental, and behavioral health care — while never losing sight of the communities we were built to serve.

What it means to be an FQHC
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, Avenue 360 provides care based on need, not ability to pay. That means a sliding-fee scale for uninsured patients, services in the neighborhoods that need them most, and a whole-person approach that connects medical care with behavioral health, dental, pharmacy, and supportive services.
